The fear of growing older and losing

The fear of growing older and losing our fresh and wrinkle free beauty creeps up on us every day. We can spend upwards of hundreds of dollars trying to prevent and cure the curse every year. I remember in high school putting my mom’s eye cream under my eyes so that they wouldn’t look puffy, or lighten the dark spots from studying the night before. It’s true that even women as young as high school are concerned about their appearances. Wanting to stay beautiful isn’t strange or unheard of to any of us. My mom taught me a great way to save my earnings from my summer job at the local grocery store by making remedies at home that were cheap, natural and healthy.

Ever hear grandma tell you that when you were constipated that epsom salt was the key to regulation? Well that’s not the only thing it’s good for anymore. Besides easing those ever so achy muscles after a hard days work in your bathtub, you can use it to exfoliate. Mix up two parts epsom salt and one part petroleum jelly and you are scrubbing away dead skin cells to reveal a healthier glow in no time. Many people even add a drop or two of their favorite essential oils to give it a delicious scent. My favorite was a couple drops of baby oil. Avoid using harsh soaps to wash with, it dries out your skin and can do more damage than good.

I don’t know about you but I use to envy those models on the commercials with the great hair. Here’s a secret to great hair, and all you have to do is go to your refridgerator. Eggs, no you didn’t read that wrong, beat up a couple eggs with milk and leave on for a few minutes, rinse and you’ll see shine that you would have never dreamed of. Next stop, the laundry room, I carry a box of fabric softener sheets in my car at all times. Not only does my car smell good, but on the days where hair static wont stop just run a sheet through my hair a couple times and voila, no more fly aways! On the other end of the spectrum, greasy hair is never attractive either, and baby powder gives you a fresh scent and soaks up grease at your roots, just don’t over due it or you’ll end up with white roots.

Now one last thing, those pesky wrinkles I was telling you we all don’t want to see appear on our face. This recipe is not only delicious, but works too! Just squash a banana up till its very smooth, using some milk makes this easy as well, but is optional. Spread over your face leave for close to a half hour, I like to do this before bed. Rinse with warm, but not hot water, splash with cold to close up those pesky pores and pat dry. Now that you’re equipped with some very simple but healthy beauty tips, I’m starving, bananas anyone?
